A graphic design project for class. Objective is to create a magazine article on our favorite artist, implementing both the design and article content.
I chose one of my favorite digital artists, Wenqing Yan, also known as Yuumei.
When thinking of how I would lay out the magazine spread, I wanted something that would show off a good amount of her artwork; honestly she’s done so much pieces that it was hard for me to choose just a few of her works.

I felt like the layout should be kept simple; her works have so much going on. They already speak for themselves.

I wanted the background color of the article to fit with her colorful works.
So I chose a light bluish-purple to tie in the dominant blues and reds from Wenqing Yan's pieces.
